Who are we?
Students from NCHS and Other Local Schools grades 9-12.
Mr. Sladkey has been leading the group since it began in 1995. Mr. Sladkey is a math teacher at NCHS and he volunteers his time for FCA.
Who is invited?
Any high school student or above that has an interest in growing closer to the Lord.
You are do not have to participate in a varsity sport to come. Many of the students are not directly involved with sports. However, we will gear some of our meetings towards athletics. Also we play sports like ultimate Frisbee all the time.
Where do we meet?
We meet in students homes. We meet on a weekly basis. A schedule and directions are located on this site.
What is a typical meeting like?
We always start with prayer. After this we do introductions and have an icebreaker. Then we will have a topic of discussion often looking up things in the bible to confirm our thoughts. Sometimes the topic is a bible passage, other times it is an issue picked by the leadership team.
Are there special events?
Yes. We have many special events throughout the year. Here are some yearly events: bon-fire, Christmas caroling, Christmas dinner, and the annual barbecue. You can check the schedule for yourself as to when these occur. We have had week long bike trips since the year 2000. They are 6 day 340 mile bike trips.
