Monday

          Rain on the way to start

          Weak Kidneys

          10 minutes of rain at start

          Beautiful valley with rolling hills

          Long up hill         

          Amish country

          Dry campground

          Cook dinner above fire

Tuesday

          Boys take girl’s tent down to help wake them up

          Pan cakes

          2 made it up the hill

          Beautiful trail

          Long gradual up hill to tunnel

          Tunnel that would never end

          $97.00 a foot

          Long gradual decent with beautiful countryside

          Nice showers at church

          Receptive and participative audience

          Equal to the best program yet

          1870 house – help with the chores

Wednesday

          Weather forecast scattered showers AM and thunderstorms PM

          Actual weather Thunder Storms 6 miles into trip

          Open Barn

          Hills

          Under Deck

          Long down hill beautiful ride

          5 miles out of way

          Church that was a museum. Pastor’s friendliness

          Lunch by Wisconsin River

          Sun came out rest of day

          Bike paths in Madison

          Arrive at 7:30 tired and dirty after 85 miles when program was scheduled to start

          Welcome by vacation bible school children at church

Change in plans. Go home with host families, shower and eat then back to cities youth center for program.  Found out this was Gods planning. By changing time and location program was presented to youth of Deerfield rater than the adults

Thursday

          Cold and Rain 45 degrees

          CAN WE DO THIS?

          Thankful for rain ponchos from our great support staff.

          Start out from church is rain and cold

          Cold toes and fingers

          Getting wet

          Hills and rain. Going down slow, do not want to skid

          Golf course restaurant and Hot Chocolate

          Gods leading to Mr. Sladkey

          Laundry Mat 15 miles. Can we make it? All cheered yes

          Lunch; dry clothes, bathroom and friendly owner

          Sun shine as last shoes were in dryer.

          Sailing along with the wind on our backs

          Ultimate Frisbee in Lake Delevin with the Animals

          Camp Ground was dry but could have been nicer

          Too cold to swim

Boys made fun of girls setting up tent

          All of the boys did not take showers

          Great dinner

          Good sleeping

Friday

          Clear and sunny

Great day for canoeing

          Quick ride to the river

          As usual great support from our support staff.

          River running high and fast

          Tip over’s the first mile

          Learning to paddle

          Who is in charge ?

          Sitting down in the mud and can not get up with out help. Laughed at

          Lunch and then throwing the Frisbee

          Harder to paddle than pedal

          Fast water made a fast trip- everyone was a fast learner

          Nice cool weather to ride to the cottage

          Family waiting in the road as we rode up from the lake

          Hug from my wife with a big kiss and smile

Girls laughing as the boys try to set up the girl's tent

          Great hamburgers and Hot dogs with lots of great different salads and desserts

          Sleeping on the cottage porch

          FCA riders sleeping on the beach.  Clear skies OK as they stayed quiet

Saturday

Morning comes too soon

Last break down of camp

Last leg

Home is close

All the people who worked through adversity

The last stretch-up Sheffield with all the waiting families cheering

Cleaning the truck and sorting out after everyone has left

Mr. Sladkey getting doused with water bucket

Thanking our God and Savior for a safe return for all

Life changing experience for many especially Mike who found there are more important things in life than work.
